SBS and EVAW Domestic Violence Strategy Seminars

Southall Black Sisters (SBS) and the End Violence against Women (EVAW) Coalition are holding a series of free consultation seminars. To develop a UK-wide strategy on violence against (BME) women and girls. The strategy seminars hosted by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). These seminars will be crucial in informing the Westminster Government’s forthcoming strategy on violence against womenThe seminars expected publishing time is November 2010, and other policies around the UKPlease come along and share your experiences and ideas on the needs of BME women and girls so that they’re reflected in this work.

  • 1 November 2010 Glasgow at 10am-1.30pm
  • 3 November 2010 Cardiff at 10am-1.30pm

It is essential to pre-book because of limited spaces. Please complete and return booking form below. One person per organisation. A seminar for Northern Ireland groups announcement soon.

All community and women’s organisations are welcome (priority given to BME women’s organisations) working on violence against women and girls.

A light lunch and refreshments provided. Venue and programme details will given nearer to the time.
